My Hero

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I wanted to tell you about my Little Hero.  This is my grandson, Dylan, he is the greatest joy a person could know and he has a smile that could melt your heart.

He was born with an abnormality called Chromosome 6 Deletion. This has caused him to be on a ventilator and oxygen. He has a tracheotomy where the ventilator & oxygen flow to help him breathe and maintain his life. He has severe scoliosis and has several surgeries and rods put in his back to straighten him out.  He is fed through a tube and cannot eat or drink through his mouth. He has had countless visits to hospitals with his longest stay being 5 months, 3 weeks and 5 days.  With all these things, this is why he is my HERO, because no matter what, he still wakes up everyday with a smile and is an absolute Angel from God. 

During his first months of life, we have had to endure many nights away from our home, to help our daughter/son-in-law and be with Dylan during many surgeries. The Ronald McDonald House was a place we could count on and if they were full, they would lead us to other places at discounted rates. Although this was up in Marshfield, Wisconsin, they now live near us and use the Milwaukee based RMHC if needed when he goes to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

With all that being said, each year, in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), Stampin’ Up! designs an exclusive stamp set to promote their partnership with this amazing charity. They then donate a $3.00 from each sale of that set. To date, more than $1,000,000 has been donated from RMHC stamp set sales. Demonstrators also create cards which are donated to Ronald McDonald Houses to help families keep in touch with loved ones while they are away from home. You can also help us make a difference by making one special card to be donated to RMHC of Milwaukee!!!

This year’s set is, “Sprinkles of Life”, and it coordinates with a great punch called the Tree Builder Punch.  Come see how we can create something for the RMHC of Milwaukee.

Hello Everyone,
I am sorry that I have been away for so long, but I was very sick.  I am a cancer survivor and the chemo that I received during my cancer treatment has left me with no immune system.  So I was getting sick every 3-4 weeks with bronchitis pneumonia, upper respiratory infections, and many sinus infections. I did not have the physical strength to do anything, it totally drained me. They call this “Immune Deficiency, low IgG”, and I have begun Immunoglobulin Infusions.
I am now on the road to recovery and I am very eager to get back into the swing of things.  I did not and could not give up; the alternative is not an option right now because I have things to accomplish yet and cards I have to show you and deals that I have to give you.
