Just to CUTE!

Hi Everyone,

I just have to show you the cutest gift card that I learned how to make at my last Stampin Up meeting.  We learn so much at these meetings and then I bring them back to you to share, Thanks Robyn.  Don't you just love that new Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street paper too.

Perfect Punches - Gift Card Purse

Don't you just LOVE it!!!!  Well this is how to make it..

Perfect Punches Clear Stamp Set (120516, page 120)
Pool Party, Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White (starts on page 152)
Sycamore Street DSP (Designer Series Paper) Sale-A-Bration Paper (127540 - FREE with any $50 SU order-SAB Brochure)
Stampin' Trimmer (126889, page 180)
Tope Note Die (113463, page 193)
Bitty Butterfly (129406, Spring Catalog page 13)
Extra Large Oval (119859, page 184)
Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (130812) - FREE with any $50 SU order-SAB Brochure)
Basic Pearl Jewels (119247, page 175)
Sticky Strip (104294, page 177)
Velcro (optional)

Pick your design out of the beautiful DSP.  Cut to a 6" x 6" square. Score and fold in half, please take note of how you would like to fold your paper so that design is the way you wish it to be.  Place the fold corner on the cut line of the trimmer and the open side at the 3/4" mark on the right side of the cut line.  Flip and do the same to the other side.  This will leave an angled look to your paper.

Cut the piece for the inside to hold the Gift Card, 4-1/4" x 1-3/4".  Apply Sticky Strip on the outside of the two sides and bottom and place in center, just above the center crease.  (Note: The sticky strip is very sticky and once placed, you will not be able to move).

Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White and use the Extra Large Oval and punch out and place aside.  Now take a piece of Pool Party 5"x4" and use the Top Note die with your Big Shot.  Place Top Note in the paper trimmer from point to point and score down the middle.  Punch two holes in each side of one half of the folded Top Note die.  Place your favorite ribbon in through the holes and tape down with Sticky Strip.  Then use more Sticky Strip to the half with the ribbon of the Top Note die and adhere to the open flap of the DSP.

Place Sticky Strip on the top back of the Extra Large Oval and apply to the open side of the Top Note die. Final Step is to adhere a small piece of Velcro (keep your Velcro pieces together so that they line up evenly when you close) to the oval piece that overhangs and close.

I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and have a great time making your Perfect Punches Gift Card Purse.  Don't forget that the Sale-A-Bration items are only available until March 22nd, so get them while they last...

Masculine Cards

Need a Masculine Birthday card, well here is an idea that I came up with using the new Honeycomb Texture Embossing Folder (129378).  I used Soft Suede directly onto the Embossing folder by just using a patting motion and then placed my paper in the folder and ran it through the Big Shot.  It came out looking like an antiqued piece of paper.  The Label Collection framelits (125598) used, give just the right touch to the card.

The other items in this card were:
Vintage Verses Clear Stamp Set (129636, Sale-A-Bration Set)
Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, and Soft Suede 8-12x11 Cardstock (starting on page 156)
3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (122966, page 173)
Hope that you like it and thanks for looking...

Summer's Coming!

Get ready for those summer pictures with this Water Adventure 2-page layout. You will have pages all ready for those beach or waterpark pictures with this great layout.
Here I have used the new Designer Series Paper on this layout “Sunshine & Sprinkles”. This paper is just so much fun and the colors are to die for… The solid papers used just make it look very tropical too.  I also used the large scalloped circle to cut fancy edges on the corners of the picture mattings, to give it some real extra pizzazz.  Stampin Up punches can do so much more than just cut out your average shapes…

Here is a list of products used on my layout:
  • Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP (122360, page 28 Spring Catalog)
  • Daffodil Delight 12x12 Cardstock (124275, page 153)
  • Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Lucky Limeade, Regal Rose, Marina Mist 8-1/2x11 Cardstock (starts on page152)
  • Secret Garden stamp set – Clear (129144 page 17 Spring Catalog)
  • Secret Garden Framelit Dies (129372 page 17 Spring Catalog)
    Secret Garden Bundle – SAVE 15% (131099 Clear / 131100 Wood)
  • Big Shot (113439, page 186)
  • Typeset Alphabet Bigz (127552, page 192)
  • 2-3/8” Scallop Circle (118874 page 184)
  • Designer Builder Brads (129329 page 12 Spring Catalog)
  • Dimensional (104430, page 177)
